Technique

To evoke a heartfelt sentiment of love and energy, I carefully selected Coral Red and Mid Yellow as my color palette. The red hue symbolizes love, while the vibrant yellow captures the essence of dynamic energy. With these two colors, I aimed to convey my warm embrace and uplifting spirits to someone who could use a comforting hug, even from afar.

I began by stamping several of the silhouette floral base stamps fro the Sketched Florals stamp set. Next, I added the top stamp layer in Jet Black Ink, further enhancing the intricate details of the design. The elegant and hand-drawn sketch-like style added a touch of timeless beauty to the composition. In addition to the floral elements, I incorporated a variety of small sketched floral stamps and leaves, creating a captivating background that complemented the main focal point.

To ensure the sentiment stood out without overpowering the background, I opted for a floating vellum sentiment. I utilized the Versatile Greetings and Versatile Greetings 2 die sets to create a unique sentiment. Combining the word “sending” from one set and the word “hugs” from the other, I crafted a heartfelt message. To achieve the floating effect, I carefully die cut four layers of the sentiment. I then adhered three layers together and attached them to a vellum shadow layer. By affixing the fourth die-cut sentiment to the back of the vellum, the vellum shadow layer appeared raised above the card, eliminating any concerns about visible glue.

To add a touch of sparkle and elegance, I embellished the front of the card with a few shimmering jewels!
