Monthly Minis

The Hero Studio Monthly Minis add even more versatility:

Here are the two cards I created this month!

Fall is My Favorite – Card Kit of the Month

For my first project, I used the Treehouse Die from the kit to create a sweet woodland scene. I die cut the treehouse from Truffle Cardstock and used brown alcohol markers around the edges to add depth and dimension.

Next, I stamped the curled-up squirrel and several leaves from the Fall is My Favorite Stamp Set in Intens-ified Black Ink. I colored everything with alcohol markers and cut the images using the coordinating dies.

I adhered the pieces to an A2-sized panel of Windy Cardstock, backing the tree opening with Pitch Black Cardstock to give the appearance of a shadowed interior. For the sentiment, I stamped β€œFall is my favorite color” and cut the phrase into strips, adhering them at an angle for a playful look.

This card feels so cozy and autumnal β€” perfect for celebrating the start of the season.

A Patch of Color – Cling of the Month

Hero Arts Cling of the Month: Patchwork

For my second card, I used the Cling of the Month: Patchwork to create a bright and cheerful background. I stamped the cling stamp onto Dove White Cardstock with two of my favorite ombre ink pads, Spring Brights and Spring Day. The ombre effect makes it so easy to achieve a rainbow of colors in a single impression.

To add more depth, I lightly ink blended over the stamped panel with the same ink colors, creating a tone-on-tone look. After trimming the panel with a Nesting Rectangle Infinity Die, I adhered it to an A2-sized piece of Dove White Cardstock.

For the focal point, I die cut six hearts from Dove White Cardstock using the Nesting Hearts Infinity Dies and popped them up with foam tape. Across the center, I added a heat-embossed sentiment on Pitch Black Cardstock.

I love how this design combines bold color with clean white accents for a modern fall card that can work for many occasions.
