Hi crafty friends! I am so excited to celebrate DieCember® 2025 with three projects featuring new dies from Simon Says Stamp. I reached for bright colors, clean layers, and lots of detail to create a pastel birthday card, a graphic snowflake design, and a cozy stitched snowman. These dies are so versatile, you can easily use them long after the holidays are over.

Stitching Snowman Card

I started with the Stitching Snowman and Eyelet Layer Frames dies for a sweet winter card in icy blues and white. I die cut a large eyelet frame from white cardstock, then cut the next size down from light blue and layered them together on a coordinating blue card base. The pierced details on the frames add instant texture and help frame the focal image without any extra bulk.

Next, I die cut all of the pieces from the Stitching Snowman. I kept the look very clean and skipped actual stitching, letting the little pierced holes act as faux stitching instead. The snowman body is cut from white cardstock, and I used the same light blue as the background for his scarf and the stitched oval behind him. A tiny orange carrot nose, pink cheeks, black coal buttons, and simple eyes bring him to life.

I adhered the snowman to the stitched oval, then popped that panel up on foam tape in the center of the layered frames. The sentiment “You warm my heart” is stamped directly onto the bottom of the blue panel so it tucks in under the snowman. To finish the card, I sprinkled on a few iridescent sequins around the snowman for a touch of snowy sparkle.

Flourish Snowflake Tag Card

For the second card, I used the Flourish Snowflake die set and Tag Greetings to create a bold, monochromatic background with a clean tag sentiment. I chose a palette of aqua and teal cardstock and die cut several of the flourish snowflakes in both shades. Each snowflake has beautiful pierced details that look almost like embroidery, which makes them perfect for filling a background.

I started with an aqua A2 card base, then added a white panel cut slightly smaller than the front. I arranged the snowflakes across the panel, letting some hang off the edges and trimming away the excess for a full, wallpaper style pattern. I alternated the lighter and darker snowflakes and tucked a few smaller ones into the gaps so the entire background feels balanced.

For the sentiment, I die cut a tall tag from white cardstock and stamped a sentiment from the Tag Greetings stamps in crisp black ink so it really stands out against all of the blue. The tag is popped up on foam tape in the center of the card, slightly offset so you can still see plenty of the snowflakes peeking out. A bit of black and white twine threaded through the top of the tag and a few sparkle gems scattered across the snowflakes complete this modern holiday look.

Bouncy Happy Birthday Card

My final card shows how DieCember products can work for birthdays and celebrations all year long. I paired the Bouncy Happy Birthday die with more Eyelet Layer Frames for a soft, feminine design in pink and yellow.

For the background, I stamped the Friendship Text block in a vertical rainbow that fades from pink at the top to sunny yellow at the bottom. You can achieve this look by inking the stamp in sections and lightly blending where the colors meet so there are no harsh lines. This creates a cheerful backdrop without overwhelming the focal sentiment.

I die cut a scalloped Eyelet Layer Frame from white cardstock and lightly ink blended pink and yellow to help it stand out from the background. Then I cut the Bouncy Happy Birthday sentiment, cutting the text from white cardstock and the shadow from a deeper pink. I layered the white words over the pink shadow to create a bold, dimensional greeting and adhered it to the center of the scalloped panel with foam tape.

To assemble the card, I added the stamped background to a top folding white card base, then popped the framed sentiment panel on top. The eyelet details, soft ink blending, and layered sentiment come together for a birthday card that feels playful and polished.

The DieCember® 2025 release is packed with dies that work beautifully for winter and beyond, from stitched characters to bold sentiments and intricate backgrounds. If you are looking for fresh ways to stretch your die collection, these three projects are a great place to start.
