In My Heart Card Ideas with Simon Says Stamp

Two clean and graphic Mother’s Day cards featuring bold sentiments, simple color palettes, and easy layout ideas from the In My Heart release.

Hi crafty friends! Today I’m sharing two card projects featuring the new In My Heart release from Simon Says Stamp. I kept both designs clean and modern with lots of white space, bold sentiments, and simple pops of color. One card is sweet and playful (hello, bunny!), and the other is more classic with a large heart focal point and a crisp navy-and-white palette.

Best Mom Ever Bunny Card

For the first card, I wanted something that felt fun and a little whimsical while still staying clean and easy to mass-produce. I started with a white card base and added a slim patterned strip along the left side. I created the strip by stamping out the Gerbera Daisy Background in grey ink. I love this look because it gives you instant detail without having to build a full background, and it leaves plenty of open space for a bold sentiment.

On top of the patterned strip, I added a thin hot pink layer to create a clean border and bring in that bright pop of color. Then I die cut the Flower Bunny and assembled it with soft, subtle shading. The pink in the ears ties back to the border, and the little black eyes keep the face simple and sweet.

To give the bunny something to hold, I added a tiny flower with a layered center and a bright gem. It’s a small detail, but it adds such a cute personality moment and helps balance the large sentiment on the right.

For the greeting, I went with a bold serif sentiment from the Thanks, Mom stamps and placed it slightly behind the bunny so everything feels connected. A few pink gems scattered near the bottom finish the card with a little sparkle without adding clutter.

Love You Mom Heart Card

For the second card, I leaned into a more classic and graphic design with a large heart focal point. I started with a white heart base and added a slightly smaller heart in navy on top. This instantly makes the navy feel crisp and intentional, and it gives the heart a clean place to shine.

Inside the heart opening, I heat embossed the Gerbera Daisy Background in white. The repeating navy and white look keeps the design elegant but still interesting, and it adds texture without needing any extra embellishments.

For the sentiment, I layered the Love You, Mom greeting right across the center of the heart. I love this style of sentiment because it feels like the focal point, but it still lets the patterned heart show behind it. Keeping the sentiment in white and silver continues the clean, monochromatic look, and it makes this card feel both modern and timeless.

If you want to dress it up, this design would also look beautiful with a few clear gems or a thin metallic matte behind the sentiment, but I really love how bold and simple it is as-is.

These two cards are a great reminder that you don’t need complicated techniques to create something that feels special. A strong sentiment, a clean layout, and a few intentional details can do so much.

If you give either of these ideas a try, I would love to see what you create. Tag me on Instagram @dreamcraftcreate so I can cheer you on.

Happy crafting!
