As part of the countdown to the My Monthly Hero December Kit, I couldn’t resist delving into the creative process with an incredible alphabet cover plate die that unlocks a world of possibilities. For my card, I started with a backdrop of soft ocean hues. The soothing tones of Hero Hues Reactive Ink in Pool Party, Splash, and Blue Hawaii set the stage for sea-inspired fun.

To create a focal point, I die-cut a circle from the center of the ink-blended panel. The addition of a slightly larger white cardstock circle, glued beneath, added a touch of elegance. The real showstopper, however, came with the incorporation of the alphabet cover plate die. The cover plate cut from white created a gorgeous mosaic for the background.

A whimsical touch was introduced with a charming whale and fish, stamped and colored using alcohol markers. These adorable sea creatures brought life and character to the scene. To spell out a cheerful greeting, I cut an ‘H’ and ‘I’ from Hero Arts Glitter Paper using the cover plate. Mounted on foam tape, this simple yet fun greeting finished off the card.
