Vinyl Resist Grateful Flower Card
Do you have a Cricut machine? Do you have Cricut Access? Get my Design Space project link to make this awesome vinyl resist card!
I am really excited to share this fun new technique with you! If you are familiar with emboss resist, then you will love vinyl resist. Just take any image in Design Space, cut it in vinyl, and then blend your inks on top to make a beautiful card!
Sometimes I get down in a rut and forget about all of the things for which I am grateful. I think it happens to all of us. I was watching a YouTube video by Gina K where she made a grateful card using emboss resist. I was so inspired I decided to try and make a similar card using vinyl. Why not make this card and send it to someone you appreciate?!

Materials to Make Vinyl Resist Grateful Flower Card
- Cardstock. You can use any weight, brand or color of cardstock. I used Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock for my card base and Neenah 80lb Classic Crest Coverstock for my background. I also used Brick Red from the Cricut cardstock Red Tones Sampler for my second background layer and sentiment. It has a beautiful linen texture. You can mix and match whatever style of paper you would like for the desired effect.
- Cricut StandardGrip Mat.
- Cricut Fine-Point Blade or Deep-Point Blade. I prefer to use the deep-point blade when cutting cardstock.
- Cricut Scoring Stylus or Cricut Scoring Wheel. Note that the scoring wheel is only compatible with the Cricut Maker.
- Cricut Maker, Cricut Explore Air 2, or a similar cutting machine.
- Art Glitter Glue, Double-Sided Crafting Tape, or a similar adhesive.
- Foam Sheets, Double-Sided Adhesive Foam Squares or something similar. In this project I cut a foam sheet to use behind the top background layer.
- Inks and tools to blend with. In this project I used Distress Oxide Inks in Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon, Candied Apple, and Aged Mahogany.

It’s a beautiful card. You said we can access it for free. But unfortunately, when I tried to make it, the cost is $3.99 on design space. :/
Hi Patricia, I’m sorry you could not access the project file. My Cricut project links often include images that are part of the Cricut Access subscription. If you do not have a Cricut Access subscription, then there may be a charge for the file. This is not something I have control over for projects that I design in Cricut’s Design Space. I do occasionally post SVG files that I create outside of Design Space that are available for free to those that do not have a Cricut Access subscription, so please keep an eye out for those!
