Hero Studio Card Kit of the Month July 2024

Using the Card Kit of the Month, I created a set of two cards featuring stunning seaside silhouettes and a unique inlay design.

First, I ink blended an A2-sized piece of Deluxe Smooth Cardstock using Nautical, Deep Ocean, and Paradise Core Inks. Then, I stamped several of the silhouette stamps from the included Victorian Seaside Clear Stamp Set onto the ink-blended panel using Intens-ified Black Ink.

I stamped the same stamps in the same spots onto a fresh piece of A2-sized Deluxe Smooth Cardstock. I used a die from the Nesting Heart Infinity Dies to cut out a heart in the same spot on both the ink-blended and the white card panels. I inlaid the ink-blended heart into the white negative panel and inlaid the white heart into the negative ink-blended panel.

Using the same stamp set, I stamped a black sentiment onto one of the cards and heat-embossed a sentiment onto the other card. I love two-for-one cards!

Extras for the Month!

In addition to the Hero Studio kits, Hero Arts is releasing 5-8 extra products each month, available for purchase without a subscription. These products will be permanently available on their website, so be sure to check them out here!

Hero Studio Extras July 2024

This month, I also created a card using some of the July extras – the Pebbles & Stones Stencil and the Tropical Fishes Bundle.

Hero Studio Pebbles & Stones Stencil July 2024

First, I lightly ink blended an A2-sized piece of Deluxe Smooth Cardstock using Splash Reactive Ink. Then, I dry-embossed using the Pebbles & Stones Stencil. Next, I ink blended Granite Core Ink over the stencil and added White and Black Hero Wax. The grey-colored ink with the white and black made the pebbles and stones look lifelike.

I stamped a sentiment and several of the fish from the Tropical Fishes Bundle, colored the fish using alcohol markers, then die-cut everything with the coordinating dies. I popped up the fish and sentiment on my card using foam tape to add some fun dimension.
