How to Make Amazing Blended Butterfly Wings for Cards!

This amazing blended butterfly wing technique will make your butterfly cards soar!

Butterfly wings are so beautiful. There are so many colors and patterns in nature. When it comes to cardmaking, it can be hard to mimic the same beauty. I think I came close with this blended butterfly wing technique.

First, I created a negative mask using my butterfly stamp. Then, I used Salvaged Patina, Prize Ribbon, and Villainous Potion Distress Oxides, which blend together beautifully. I finished with black heat embossing for a show stopping shine. You could do this with any colors — use the inks you have to create gorgeous, blended butterfly wings!

My tutorial teaches how to mask, ink blend, and heat emboss to create a stunning effect. The best part? You probably have everything you need in your craft room to try this out. Check out my video tutorial below to learn this amazing technique!
