Card Kit of the Month
This month’s Card Kit of the Month is a fantastic collection of stamps, dies, and accessories that will help you create stunning Jungle-themed cards. With a mix of HeroScapes, reactive ink, and fancy dies, this kit is perfect for anyone who loves the jungle or wants to add a touch of tropical charm to their card-making. The kit includes:
- Jungle HeroScape Clear Stamp Set, 6″ x 8″
- 12 Coordinating Dies
- 5 Fancy Dies
- Jungle Scenics Stencil, 6″ x 6″
- Olive Hero Wax
- White Plastic Palette Knife
- 3 Reactive Ink Cubes (Key Lime Fizz, Green Apple, Fruit Punch)
- 2 Reactive Glitz Ink Pads (French Pink, Byzantine Green)
- 5 Printed Sticker Sheets, 6″ x 6″
Using the Card Kit of the Month, I created a card featuring a lush jungle scene with flowing water.
I had a blast creating a card with this kit! I stamped the first layer of the HeroScape using Key Lime Fizz Reactive Ink, then added details with Green Apple Reactive Ink, and finished with tropical flowers in Fruit Punch Reactive Ink. To create a sense of movement, I stamped the water portion of the HeroScape multiple times, masking each previous stamp. Lastly, I added a sentiment and popped up the panel on an A2-sized card base.
I also created a card using the August Cling Stamp of the Month (Orchids).
I heat-embossed the orchid image on vellum and ink-blended over it with Blue Raspberry, Blue Hawaii, and Grape Slush Reactive Ink – it’s like a tropical dream! Tip: Using an adhesive sheet to stick the vellum to a piece of white cardstock avoids any glue lines showing through. I added a sentiment and floral image, faux watercoloring the blooms with the same reactive ink. Finally, I popped up the oval on a card panel splattered with Liquid Watercolor in Black – what a dramatic finish!

So simple, so pretty. I like the limited colors!!
I love the simplicity of these pretty cards, as well as the colors you chose. The first one is my favorite. I’m not sure I would have thought to use the water and foliage without an animal or two but I absolutely love the look. Thanks for sharing!
