Make a Wallet Card (Plus, Big Die Hack!)
I’m sharing my favorite way to make a wallet card that feels like a gift all on its own, plus an easy trick for cutting large dies.
Hi crafty friends! This is one of those projects that looks impressive, but it is very doable once you see the order of operations. The Lovely Layers: Wallet die set builds the base, creates a real pocket for a gift card, and gives you lots of spots for little luxe details like a zipper, hardware, and embossed accents.

In the video, you’ll learn:
- How to cut a die that is larger than your platform using a simple two-pass trick
- How to add crisp white heat embossing directly on the wallet for high contrast detail
- How to add a hidden write-on insert so the inside stays pretty and functional

This is such a good “formula” die set. Swap the paper and sentiment and you can make it birthday, graduation, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or just because.
What would you put inside yours, a gift card, cash, or a handwritten note?
Happy crafting!
