Happy Cinco de Mayo! I wanted to make a card, so I got creative and reached for the Lotus Pierced Coverplate and the Uni Alphabet Dies from Photoplay Say it With Stamps. If you are not familiar with Photoplay Say it With Stamps, they make high quality stamps, dies, and papers. Perfect for card making or scrapbooking. I really love the designs.
First, I cut the Lotus Pierced Coverplate from several different colors of cardstock (white, pink, blue, and yellow). I popped up half of the white sheet on the left side of a slimline sized card base using adhesive foam squares. I then fussy cut three lotus flowers from each of the colored cardstocks. Using adhesive foam squares, I adhered the multiple layers for each respective color into a pinwheel shape. Then I added an embellishment at the center of each pinwheel so that they would look like flowers.
Next, I used the F, I, E, S, T, A, and ! Uni Alphabet Dies to create my sentiment. I cut each alphabet die from a different color of cardstock. I then cut four of each alphabet die in white cardstock. I glued the multiple layers for each letter together using liquid adhesive. I then glued all of the letters down to my card.
All of the supplies are listed below. Happy crafting!
