Card 1: Tulip Fields
I created my first card using the Card Kit of the Month. I started by stamping the base layer of the tulip leaves using Green Hills Core Ink. I then stamped the second layer of the tulip leaves using Fresh Lawn Core Ink.
Next, I stamped the base layer of the tulip flowers, first using Lemon Yellow Core Ink and then Cotton Candy Core Ink. I then stamped the second layer of the tulip flowers using Dandelion Core Ink and Azalea Core Ink. By overlapping the ink colors I created beautiful orange tulips in between the pink and yellow tulips!
Once I finished stamping and die cutting the tulips, I used the Circling Cloud Cling Stamp to create the background. I stamped an A2-sized piece of Arctic Cardstock using Summer Sky Core Ink. Using foam tape, I adhered the tulip piece to the bottom portion of the stamped sky piece.
Tip: To add some extra depth to your card, try using foam tape to adhere your focal image (in this case, the tulips) to the background. This will create a beautiful dimensional effect that will make your card stand out!
I then stamped the sentiment “Thank You” using Intens-ified Black Ink and die-cut the sentiment out using the coordinating die. I also stamped a dragonfly and butterfly and die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I colored the dragonfly and butterfly using alcohol markers and adhered them to the card for a playful touch.
Monthly Minis
In addition to the Card Kit of the Month, Hero Arts releases several Monthly Minis each month. Be sure to check them out here!
Card 2: Daffodil Elegance
I created this elegant card using two of the monthly minis — the Cling Stamp of the Month: Burlap and the Fancy Dies of the Month: Flowers & Pots.
I started by stamping the burlap stamp onto a piece of Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock using Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. I then heat embossed using Clear Embossing Powder.
Next, I used one of my favorite techniques — emboss resist! I ink blended over the entire piece using Pool Party Reactive Ink. I then cut the piece using one of the Arches Infinity Dies. To darken the edges of my arch, I ink blended around the outside edges with Blue Hawaii Reactive Ink.
To frame my piece, I die-cut a slightly larger arch from Adriatic Cardstock. I then glued the ink-blended piece to the top. I added foam tape to the back and popped up the entire piece onto an A2-sized piece white cardstock.
Tip: Don’t be afraid to mix and match dies from different sets to create a unique look. For this card, I used the Fancy Dies of the Month: Flowers & Pots to create the daffodil and pot, but you could easily substitute in dies from other sets to create a different look!
Next, I die-cut a pot from Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock, the leaf and stem from Meadow Cardstock, and the daffodil from Canary and Pumpkin Cardstock. I adhered all of the pieces together and then added some fun details with alcohol markers.
To finish things I off I added a “miss you” sentiment and a few Translucent Aquas Enamel Dots!

I really like the colors you chose and the Burlap background.
Thansk for sharing.
Beautiful cards! I love that your tulips are three different colors! Tulips are one of my most favorite flowers! And the arch around the daffodil is perfect. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful cards. I love flowers.
